Things I am thankful for:
I am thankful that yesterday after the alternator on my car died ($500+) and I was walking home from work into a biting winter wind with no hat on, that when the crazy black dog that I was ignoring as it barked at me, when that dog ran up and bit me on the Achilles tendon as I walked by, that that bite didn’t break the skin more than it did (slightly abraded and a little contused today, but no real blood loss). Thanks!
Sorry, Josh, to hear about your car, the dog and dog bite, the biting winter wind. Sounds like a rough day. Hope today was better and that you and Mary had a good Thanksgiving enjoying each other, your home together, time off work, your pups.. Sometimes life seems to pile on the bad stuff, but I’ve learned that’s not of the heart of things. Did you get your ankle checked out?
Nah, my ankle’s just a little puffy. No rabies yet. We had Thanksgiving dinner at a friends house on a beautiful sunny day here. And I’ve still got three more days off from work after today. So, yeah, things are looking up, even if I am a bit poorer now.
Just sue the owner of that dog for your pain and suffering and that should pay for your car repair!
If I were the suing type, I suppose I might. This dog had no collar and for all I know was just a stray (a well-fed stray), though he did scamper off toward a house when I spun on my heels trying to figure out what just happened.
